The Design: The themes in Antigone are war, determination and death. The images are similar, using changes in direction and color to showcase the three main themes and motifs. I used paper, light and shadow to take dimensional and abstract photos. There are two-three photos overlayed in the postcards. The title of the play in gold directly mimics the heroine's strong desire for justice and the lengths she will go to get it. Red represents war and anger and the harsh breaks in the title show this. Determination is demonstrated in bold blue an the title reinforces the strong line of the main imagery. The ghostly purple and faded title represent the last motif and Antigone’s death. The back of the cards use the strong line of the paper imagery to set text information.
