Dolores Huerta Lecture Campaign

The Design For this project Sac State’s Multicultural Center and Associated Students Inc., I created unique hand lettering for all the needed content in the campaign. The personal touch and hand made quality connects to the grass roots ideas and movements Dolores Huerta has been and is a part of. I used her most iconic photo for recognition and because of the negative space around it allowed for a lot of variety in letter form. I was then able fill the area with hand lettering and and create space around the figure. The colors chosen resemble grapes and fields, which represent the first protest Dolores took part in, while the body copy is white for a stark contrast against the textured purples and gold.

This campaign included a large poster, A-frame and digital assets.
